Socialization-Training-Activity-Responsibility – 20 steps to Success!
The American Kennel Club’s S.T.A.R. Puppy program is designed to get dog owners and their puppies ages 10-20 weeks old off to a good start. This class covers Owner Behaviors, Puppy Behaviors, and Pre-Canine Good Citizen Test Behaviors including puppy training information such as housetraining, chewing, the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called. Basic skills covered include sit, down come when called, name recognition, taking treats gently, sitting politely for petting and relinquishing objects. Week 1 is orientation without your puppy.
